Artist’s Comments
This little sketch was painted on another visit to Yosemite. As a painter, I always see beauty everywhere. Sometimes I have my easel, and other times, I travel with my thumb box. These little sketches offer me a way to capture just as much information and inspiration as I am able to get on a larger canvas but they take less time. I’m just as committed to the smaller sketches as I am to larger ones. The biggest up side of painting with a thumb box is that it takes less time to set up my supplies. The outcome, however, can be just as stunning as a full-sized painting.
